Shape-O Factory

What Shape-O Factory Was Made For

This game was made for Global Game Jam 2020 and involved five people; two english students and three finnish students. The theme for the jam was repair and as an extra challenge, it had to be a mobile game.
The aim for the player is to assemble basic shapes into complex shapes based on a blueprint. Once five have been assembled, you can move onto the next level.

What I learnt

This was the first project where I created a custom editor. This was needed because the blueprints where stored as lists, and creating new blueprint shapes wasn't very user friendly, so the custom editor would turn the list into a grid, as well as showing a preview of the final blueprint. This editor would also work with any grid size, which we took advantage of later on in the project by adding 5x5 and 7x7 blueprints.
